What we believe

We believe that the Holy Bible is the repository of God’s special revelation and truth for mankind.

From our Church Constitution:

WHEREAS: The Scriptures distinctly teach that in the last days the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; and shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. II Tim. 4:3,4

RESOLVED, that we by the grace of God, maintain a work of evangelism as well as the teaching of the inspired Word of God, for the perfecting of the saints, and for the edifying of the body of Christ:

FAQs:

Which English Bible translation does your church use?

 

Our senior pastor preaches and teaches from the NKJV. Our people also use a variety of English Bible translations including the KJV, NIV, NASB, and ESV Bibles.

 

What creeds or confessions do you subscribe to?

 

We view the historic orthodox Christian creeds and confessions to be helpful in articulating our faith. We do not specifically subscribe to any single creed or confession per se. Our Articles of Faith best reflect our biblical doctrine. Our pastor does, from time to time, include components from the Heidelberg and Westminster Confessions and other orthodox creeds/confessions in his teaching. We incorporate some of the questions and answers from the Westminster Shorter Catechism in our children’s Christian education curriculum.
