Visitation & Evangelism

Good News Visitation

Our Good News Visitation program is a vital part of our ministry at Millgrove Bible Church.

Every Saturday afternoon (and different times during the week as well) members from our church visit our elderly, visitors to our church, and anyone who needs a little encouragement.

Text Box:

We go in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ:

-          sharing the Gospel

-          delivering food and other gifts

-          praying with the sick

-          comforting the grieving

-          encouraging the despondent

Text Box:      Once a month we seek to visit the residents on Unit N at the nearby Erie Co. Home.   Our close proximity to two prisons also allows us additional visitation opportunities.
The MBC Good News Visitation program serves as the hands and feet of our church ministry.  We already have a faithful group of visiting volunteers, but we could also use more help.   See Pat Ewert for more information, and how you can help right away.

On Judgment Day the Lord Jesus will say to the righteous who lived by faith:

Matt 25:34-40

“'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?  38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?  39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'  40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' “

NKJV

Join us as we visit the ones our Lord has called us to love and serve…

Care Ministry

The church most visibly evidences the Love of Christ by ministering and assisting those in need with compassion and care.

At Millgrove Bible Church, CARE Ministries exist to offer assistance, emotional and
spiritual support to individuals and families.  Our aim is to meet needs with active
care.

·         CARE Ministries provides for the immediate needs of those who may be experiencing a hospitalization, new birth in the family, family crisis or medical difficulties.
Services such as meal preparation and delivery, routine tasks such as light housekeeping and grocery shopping and transportation to medical appointments are provided.

·         CARE Ministries offers bereavement care; coordinators will plan and prepare a funeral meal for those who are dealing with the death of a loved one.

·         CARE Ministries also reaches out to those who are homebound.  Volunteers will call /visit Individuals who are unable to attend church due to illness or physical limitations.

Our team of volunteers energetically supports the needs of our Church family through a compassionate response that respects the individual, gives attention to specific needs, and promotes Christ’s love to our community. Being a caregiver doesn’t require a lot of time, just a willing heart.

Please call Pat Ewert, Amy Stein or our church office if you
have an interest in volunteering in this ministry.
