David R. Grainge has been
Millgrove Bible Church’s senior pastor since
2003. He was ordained by the church in 2004.
David
is a western New York native, born in Niagara Falls, NY.
David attended high school at Lewiston-Porter
High School
and graduated in 1980. He then completed a degree in German at
Middlebury
College
in Vermont (including a year of language study in Vienna,
Austria) in 1985. At Middlebury he also studied teacher
education and writing. After a short stint as an
English/Computer teacher at a Christian school in
North Tonawanda, NY David
moved to Winona Lake, IN where he attended Grace Theological
Seminary. There he met his wife, Lisa. They were married in
Warsaw, IN in 1987. He completed his theological studies in
1991, graduating with a Masters of Divinity degree.
In 1992 David, Lisa and his family moved to inner city
Philadelphia where he served as a RUN - Reaching Urban
Neighborhoods - missionary. In Philly, he was part of a
church-planting team in the Kensington section of the city. He
served as the new church's acting adult pastor.
In 1996 David and Lisa followed God's call to return to
Buffalo
to serve as Executive Director of the
Buffalo
Christian Center.
David considers it a supreme privilege to be a minister of the
gospel. He loves the gospel and preaches it as ‘the power of
God to salvation’ for everyone—especially the Christian! He
enjoys reformed theology and reading the writings of the great
theologians—past and present.
David also
enjoys spending time with his wife and children. David, his
wife Lisa, and their 5 children live in nearby Clarence.
David
is an avid runner, completing a marathon in October 2002.
He enjoys computers and finding new ways to apply
technology in the church and at home. He is also a big,
long-suffering Bills and Sabres fan.
